Galerie Krinzinger in Wien

Galerie Krinzinger in Wien
Galerie Krinzinger was founded in 1971. Since then at least 300 exhibitions of national and international artists, solo shows, group shows, and topic shows have been organized.
The main issue of the gallery program results on one side from international performance art and body-related art (Chris Burden, Paul McCarthy, Mike Kelley, Nancy Rubins) based originally on Viennese actionism (Rudolf Schwarzkogler, Günter Brus, Hermann Nitsch, Otto Muehl). Besides that the gallery has been working with young national and international artists for 30 years and the gallery is now presenting the following younger artists: Atelier van Lieshout, Dubossarsky & Vinogradov, Erik van Lieshout, Jonathan Meese, Bjarne Melgaard, Shintaro Miyake, Eva Schlegel, Frank Thiel, Gavin Turk, Martin Walde, and Thomas Zipp.
Dr. Ursula Krinzinger also organizes and curates besides the gallery program important big exhibitions in various spaces outside the gallery.
Since May 2002 the gallery also runs a new large space – Krinzinger Projekte – besides the main gallery to present young and exciting artists in curated topic, group, and solo shows. Galerie Krinzinger has continuously been participating for more than 25 years in the most important art fairs.
